The Voyage - A Photo Story.

These photos were taken in 2016. I went to Cox's Bazar with my best friend. We spent three days there. All we did was sing, shoot and lay by the beach. The serenity and spiritual experience I had there is still so vivid that I can almost hear the waves when going through this story.

Restless
They say the ocean is restless. It’s loud, boisterous and can never fall asleep. But if you lie down on a sandy beach and gently press your ears on the warm sand, the sea speaks of a distant voyage. A voyage as old as mankind itself; A voyage where the only thing more restless than the waves is a man’s heart.

Reflection
The voyage takes you to a land where you exist in nothingness where there is absolutely nothing around you, with only the exception of your reflection. When everything fades out and when there is nothing you can attach yourself with, will you be brave enough to peer inside your own reflection?

Purpose
In your reflection, do you find purpose? Do you know what you have to do in the time that is owed to you? Or are you still searching for it?

Destiny
Perhaps, you believe in the higher power of destiny. Then, is it meant to be? The turmoil in your heart; is it written in the sands?

Epiphanies and Turmoil
Your mind gets engulfed in conflicted epiphanies. Epiphanies that has altered the course of the voyage for many great men. Will you entertain them? Will you act on them? Whatever you do, pause and take a look around you. Look at the collateral you have created.

Fluidity
The collateral doesn’t always respond in kindness. Whatever the result, let it flow. Everything needs fluidity. Everything needs to go high and low to make space for all the dynamicity of the universe. Otherwise the friction eats away at you.

Attaining Peace
Once the dust settles, look for peace; look for tranquility.
Where?
Well it differs from people to people. Some attains peace in a crowd and some finds serenity in solitude. Why don’t you ask the sea? Perhaps it will provide a better understanding?

Understanding
Close your eyes. Listen… The world around us is so dynamic; so vibrant; so restless. At times, stopping and allowing some thought in understanding your own being seems like a blunder. It comes at an expense of time, effort and... unpleasant truths.
But please, do stop and peer into what's inside you. See and understand. Because with only understanding ourselves, we can look to understand others.

Letting go
You reach at the end of your voyage. As you stand facing the ocean, ask yourself, "What had the waves taught me?" The answer is right beneath your feet.
Be like the white sands. Slipping away yet resilient and pure. Disperse yourself and be one with these sands. Because, maybe only then you can learn what the waves teach us. The power of letting go.
